So other than the obvious perceptual knowledge the child has no reason to fear. On the other hand, an adult both perceives as well as conceives imaginary creatures. However, the differences between perception and conception are not so easy and well delineated as they seem, and there are always areas of confusion between sensation and conceptualization.
A conceptual model can illustrate the water cycle, where evaporation and transpiration lead to the formation of clouds and then to precipitation in the form of rain, sleet, or snow. A very important conceptual skill is the ability to analyze and evaluate whether or not a company is achieving its goals and sticking to its business plan. Managers have to look at how all the departments are working together, spot any particular issues, and then decide what steps need to be taken.
