If you're not planning to pass to Skitty, on the other hand, you should probably just forget Covet and go with Focus Band, Bright Powder, Quick Claw, pretty much anything that will give her a chance to use Heal Bell before taking a bow whether it be due to her dodging an attack, enduring it or making her move before her opponent can attack at all.

I'd be lying if I said my Skitty wouldn't be screwed if it found itself to be the last Pokemon in a match, particularly if its opponent happened to be a Ghost. Not that Skitty's offensive stats are developed enough to effectively support such attacks, naturally, but there they are for consideration.

Skitty also happens to be yet another RuSa Pokemon who stands to learn Baton Pass, though I wouldn't recommend the move on her as she'll never survive her setup long enough to pass anything all she can pass are Attract, Double Team and Calm Mind anyway, and while they are all good moves in and of themselves they won't really do anything to improve Skitty's own longevity long enough to make any kind of difference.

Now I feel compelled yet loath to mention Assist I feel I must say something about it because Skitty is one of the VERY few Pokemon that can actually learn the move not to mention the ONLY one that learns it by level as opposed to breeding , but I didn't want to bring it up because that would mean I'd have to admit I've no bloomin' idea what the move does. For all I know Assist might be the suckiest move imaginable though it'd have to suck pretty hard to compare to Razor Wind , but you might as well experiment with it as Skitty is a novelty Pokemon and she can afford to be somewhat liberal with her moves at this point in development plus "Assist" just SOUNDS like a move a support Pokemon would use, doesn't it?

That's about it for Skitty. She is certainly one of the more aesthetically pleasing Pokemon out there and she is nearly without equal with regards to possessing a large pool of inherently useful move options, but one must be aware that she is freakishly fragile and likely won't survive long enough to use many of them. Fortunately, in her case just using one or two should be enough, so don't let Skitty's lack of power dissuade you from giving her a chance.

Though such a philosophy will almost always fail in the real world, Skitty's outlook of style over substance just happens to work amazingly well for her.
